About NowackHoward

Georgia’s HOA and Condominium Association Law Firm

NowackHoward, LLC is Georgia’s premier law firm specializing in advising and representing homeowner and condominium associations throughout the southeast. Led by attorneys with unmatched experience in the field, the firm is driven by a passion for protecting the rights and improving the operations of our HOA and condominium association clients. There is simply no other community association firm with greater depth of expertise or commitment to its clients.

Lawyers at NowackHoward are among the most experienced attorneys in the United States focusing on community association law. The firm’s founding partners alone have more than 70 years of experience between them and understand the value to clients of knowing about and participating in the development of law and legislation, locally and nationally.

When Georgia HOA laws have needed to be written (or rewritten) to better protect community associations, our lawyers have been there. Our lawyers have written almost every law in Georgia that pertains to HOA and condominium associations as well as lobbied to get them passed. NowackHoward attorneys have also represented clients in many of Georgia’s seminal community association appellate cases. All along, we have been at the forefront of fighting against legislation detrimental to community associations’ interests.

NowackHoward’s lawyers are actively involved with the Community Associations Institute – a national organization designed to further responsible community association governance and management. Our founding partners, George E. Nowack, Jr. and Julie McGhee Howard, are both past presidents of CAI’s Georgia Chapter and CAI National, the only two law partners in the country to have both served as CAI National Presidents.

George and Julie are also fellows of the prestigious College of Community Association Lawyers and have been designated “Super Lawyers” by their peers. In addition, Rebecca Drube and Dan Moore have been designated as Rising Stars.

George E. Nowack, Jr., Julie McGhee Howard, and NowackHoward have all earned the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the legal profession’s most prestigious rating service. This top rating is shared by an elite group of just 8% of all attorneys. Martindale-Hubbell’s rating systems have been around since 1896 and are trusted worldwide. Based on the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada, the AV Preeminent rating signifies the highest level of ethical standards and professional excellence in the areas of legal knowledge, analytical capability, judgment, communication ability, and legal experience.

As part of our deep commitment to the volunteer leadership that makes up most community association boards, our lawyers regularly write and teach on a wide variety of community association topics.
